world’s history, also performed 70 SAR cases and 132 Law enforcement
missions which resulted in several apprehensions.

Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation:
Helped save the lives of 20 people during a five day Search and
Rescue Mission. Four of the people saved were crewmembers from the
Air National Guard HH-60 that had went down.

Faithful, Zealous, and Obedient Service
CUBAN-HATIAN CRISIS
Humanitarian Service Medal:
Helped find and save the lives of hundreds of Haitians that were
drifting out to sea.

Helped save the life of a women’s son during a Search and Rescue

Coast Guard Achievement Medal:
Resuscitated a 15 month old child who had drowned in a bathtub.

Noticed a missing bolt in the nose landing gear which averted a
serious landing gear malfunction

Suggested the installation of child proof outlet covers at the Base
Clinic in the rooms that treat children.

Volunteer Service to the Otis Community, for starting and working on
the Osborne Pond Beautification Project

Protected and helped Salvage a helicopter that had to make a forced
landing on rocky coast line of Plymouth, MA. Helped save $18 Million
dollars by moving the wrecked helicopter before the tide could come
in.

Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation:
Demonstrating unparalleled teamwork and professionalism, initial
response units searched throughout the night, recovering debris and
victims in the course of the search. Then continued to search
throughout the next day, working with a myriad of federal, state,
and local officials and provided superior quality service to the
grieving families of the victims.
